What Alpha does

Alpha keeps the books for insurance that is paid in foreign currencies, and shows every amount in rand.

Foreign currency means money in a currency other than the rand, such as US dollars or euros.

  1. CaptureSomeone enters a premium, a receipt or a claim in its own currency.
  2. ApproveA different person checks it and approves it.
  3. ReportAlpha shows it in rand for the reports and the audit.

Carrying value is what an amount is worth in rand today. Alpha works it out from an approved exchange rate and keeps the proof.
